Temperature Specialists Inc. has been specializing in wire wound glass coated resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) since 1977. In addition to RTDs, we manufacture a wide range of thermocouple assemblies and custom hot wire anemometers, mold plastic parts and miniature welding. Our quality temperature sensors are used by our customers in various industries.

Our standard and custom RTDs are manufactured in a wide variety of sensing materials including copper , platinum, nickel and nickel-iron, with a variety of diameters and lengths. Temperature Specialists also manufactures thermocouple assembles ranging from large thermowell styles to very fine wire diameters, allowing theses assemblies to be used to measure in the smallest areas with fast time responses. Our electrical connection heads are available in many types of materials allowing them to be used in a variety of environments including those that are most hazardous. Our Bayonet style is a spring loaded mounting for our sensors that is great for the use in the plastics industry. It allows a quick release of the sensor while allowing good thermal contact measuring temperatures on molds, ovens, gases and surfaces. Temperature Specialists also manufactures hand held assemblies made of molded plastic or stainless steel handle.

At Temperature Specialists we have a wide variety of services to meet your needs. We offer same day shipping, application engineers onsite, among others. Here at Temperature Specialists, serving our customers comes first, we are dedicating to providing you with the best quality product out there. RTD Sensors

An RTD, resistance temperature detector, is a passive temperature sensing device that operates on the principle that the resistance of a metal changes as the temperature changes. The electrical current that passes through the element...

Thermistors

A thermistor, a shortened version of the term thermal resistor, is a passive component whose resistance changes as the temperature in a system changes. Thus they serve as an inexpensive, accurate, and dynamic method for measuring temperature...

Thermocouples

A thermocouple is a transducer that converts thermal energy into electrical energy and is constructed by joining wires made from dissimilar metals to form a junction. Voltage is produced when the temperature at the junction changes...
